When we think of Bella Prana which translates to “Beautiful Energy” we think of Rachel! She embodies the true meaning of our studio. Rachel is always welcoming, kind, understanding and loving. We are truly lucky to have had Rachel join our Yoga Teacher Training program and even luckier to have her share her teachings with our students. Rachel shares more about her journey below.
When/How did you discover yoga?
As a college freshman living out of state for the first time, I was searching for a healthy outlet to ease anxiety. In the beginning, my exploration of yoga was inconsistent, but something always brought me back!
What do you love about teaching yoga?
Teaching and helping others is something I have always been drawn to. Because yoga has brought so much peace and happiness into my life, it feels natural for me to want to share that gift! I love holding space for people to grow, heal, breathe, explore movement, play, and just connect with their inner child! (I also love teaching actual children!)
How has yoga and meditation changed your life?
In so many ways! Yoga helps me connect with who I really am, and I’ve discovered I really love that person! Learning to love myself has given me the ability to give so much more love, freely, to others. I recognize that there really is no separation and see that we are all connected. I am learning to be the calmest, kindest, strongest, and most forgiving version of self through this practice.
Why do you teach at Bella Prana?
Because it is home and everyone there is family! When I walk through the doors everything feels right. I can’t really put into words what this space, my students, and my fellow teachers and desk angels mean to me. Thank you all for sharing your beautiful energy, always!
