Youssef Fassi Fehri is the  student of the month at Bella Prana!  Youssef began practicing at Bella Prana in July of 2016 and has continued inspired his teachers, other students, and desk angels ever since!  We are honored that Youssef calls Bella Prana his asana home and we look forward to many years of practicing along side him.  To learn more about his yoga journey, see below.

Why do you love yoga?

Yoga surprises me everyday. I love the feeling of peacewellbeing and the heightened energy it providesIt allows me to deeply reflect on myself, grow and increase my self-awareness whether physical or mental/spiritualThe physical practice is holistic and provides incredible benefits in terms of range of motion, strength, flexibility, balance, coordination and mental focus. If you could condense all the possible benefits of a physical and mental practice into one activity, it would be Yoga.

How has yoga changed your life?

As an athlete, I started Yoga mainly as a physical practice in order to complement my sports practice by increasing my flexibility and strength as well as preventing injuries. But it has turned out to be so much more and it really has become a way of life. Yoga has transformed me and drastically improved my quality of life. It has given me a better sense of awareness of my body, senses, and surroundings and has allowed me to betterconnect within myself. Yoga is a never ending journey. We can learn new things about ourselves and bodies every time we step on the mat.

Why do you practice at bella prana?

Bella Prana is truly a marvelous place! The energy is so uplifting and positive. The staff and the students are friendly. The teachers are very knowledgeable and helpful. They provide options for all levels and do not hesitate to challenge you. The class selection and schedule are great and allow me attend class on a regular basis. I am very grateful for this place!
