Have you ever thought about teacher training, but then thought — I’m not advanced enough. I don’t know if I’d fit in. It’s probably too expensive. I have kids; it’s too much time away. Maybe I don’t even want to teach. You are not alone. So, let’s get into it — your answers are below!
I’m not advanced enough – we need REAL people, the kind you will actually teach in a class. We need bodies with the limitations and quirks that come with real life. Your perfectly imperfect body and abilities are exactly what we want, and what your fellow trainees need to experience in our yoga teacher training program.
What if I don’t fit in – we hope you don’t! Fitting in is boring. Our trainings are filled with people of all ages, sizes, backgrounds and abilities. Literally, we have trainees from 18 years old to 70, pregnant, injuries, disabilities, chronic pain, English as a second language, outgoing and introverted – we are a wonderfully human group. At the Collective we don’t fit in, we belong.
I have kids, it’s too much time away – First, your doing a great job! Secondly, this is a personal choice only you can make. However, let us give you some insight. We structured our training as a weekend every other month partially for YOU. The amount of time away is spread out and limited so that you can plan ahead, ask for help, and have enough time in between. Our hope is that you will crave this weekend that is all about you. Like a gift to yourself as a parent. We also think that parents who learn this content can become more thoughtful and present leaders for their family.
It’s probably too expensive – We don’t pretend this isn’t an investment. However, we have the most affordable training in Tampa. Not because it’s less valuable, but because accessibility is our mission, and we’ve earned this ability by being the largest and oldest studio in the city (for a reason!). We created payment plans to allow you to spread out the impact. We also encourage you to tell us what is needed to make it possible.
I don’t even know if I want to teach – You’re not alone. Teacher training is for everyone, students and future teachers alike. It is a deep dive into the 8 Limbs of Yoga and an ancient wisdom that seeks to give us tools for living with greater ease. If you opt for our yoga teacher training curriculum, you will certainly learn how to teach, and learn it well. However, you don’t have to turn in a graduation packet to seek an official certification. You can simply participate in our 200-hour yoga teacher training program for the pure joy of learning, making new friends, and spiritual expansion. If you do want to teach, we will also teach you the business of yoga so that you are prepared on day one to pursue your dream.
You may have been only checking out physical yoga classes, that is called Āsana, and it’s actually only one of the 8 Limbs of Yoga. If you are feeling called to learn more, to expand, to turn a corner in life – then training is for you. Life is hard. There is help, a structure for living, a system of ancient knowledge that can be your guide. When yoga was created so long ago they didn’t know they would be combatting the whole world fitting in our back pocket one day. Luckily, it seems that what it means to be human is the same today as it was thousands of years ago. The world has changed fast, but we haven’t.
This isn’t just a Yoga Teacher Training, though it is one of the most comprehensive yoga teacher training programs in the country. It’s also Life Training. We live in a time of hustle culture, defensiveness and isolation. More connected than ever, and yet somehow more alone. At the Collective AI stands for ancient intelligence. Come join a community committed to learning the wisdom passed down to us, so that we can navigate this modern and complicated world – not stuck in cycles and stories but with grace and discernment.
Big promises…we know, and we’re ready. It can, and will be, what you make of it. All we ask is that you fully show up for yourself, the yoga will do the rest. If you feel called then sign up now, we do sell out, and there is an early bird price before January 1st.
We’d love to hop on a call with you or answer any questions.
