Teaching in Pregnancy

Apr 1, 2023

Every yoga teacher and fitness instructor will have a pregnant or postpartum student pass through their classes in their career. Learning how to safely guide those pregnant students in your non-prenatal yoga or fitness classes is an essential tool for your instructor toolbox.

Join MamaShakti Prenatal at The Bella Prāṇa Wellness Collective for a one of a kind learning experience as we tune in with the pregnant student’s ever-changing body and needs as well as their journey through postpartum recovery.

Content covered:

  • Female reproduction and birth anatomy
  • Contraindicated yoga postures for pregnancy
  • Creating a prenatal yoga sequence
  • Adapting asana for non-prenatal yoga classes
  • The energetics of prenatal yoga
  • Safe prenatal core and pelvic floor postures and movements
  • Practice teaching with your peers

If you have ever been interested in becoming a prenatal yoga instructor, this 16 hour training will help you decide if that path is for you and you will earn 16 continuing education credits with Yoga Alliance (Yoga Alliance requires 75 CEU’s every three years for registered yoga teachers).

No previous experience or certifications required, open to all.

In addition to this weekend, if you are interested in furthering your prenatal yoga studies, these hours will count towards the next 85-hour prenatal yoga teacher training at The Bella Prāṇa Wellness Collective.
