My Yoga Teacher Training

Sep 12, 2025

The moment you walk through those doors, you can feel the energy in this studio — and it feels like home.”

I’ve heard Bella Prana students say something like this countless times, and it never surprises me — because it’s true. Bella Prana is a special place unlike any other yoga studio I’ve visited. Bella Prana is a special place unlike any other yoga studio I’ve visited, and it’s where I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training in Tampa.

Four years ago, I walked through the studio doors for the very first time on my first day of Yoga Teacher Training (YTT), and I knew immediately I was home. Starting my yoga teacher training here in Tampa felt like the beginning of a new chapter.

I first decided I wanted to become a yoga teacher when I was 15 years old. But between school, finances, and the time commitment, I couldn’t commit to a 200-hour yoga teacher training (RYT) program.

That changed when I moved to Tampa in 2022. At the time, I had just started a new job and wasn’t planning on joining a teacher training program. I always imagined I’d go to India or Bali for a training intensive.

Then, one day, a co-worker mentioned they had read about an affordable yoga teacher training program in Tampa — right around the corner from our office. It felt like divine intervention. After a little research, I took a leap of faith and signed up for Bella Prana’s 200-hour yoga teacher training (RYT) program that same day.

There were a few key reasons why the program at Bella Prana stood out to me:

Flexible Schedule
The program’s in-person training weekends were held once every other month, with the rest of the curriculum completed online at my own pace. This flexibility allowed me to balance my full-time job, personal life, and training with ease.

Affordable Cost
Many yoga teacher training programs are expensive, which had always been a barrier for me as a full-time student and recent college graduate. Bella Prana’s affordable pricing and flexible payment plans made it possible for me to enroll without financial strain.

Diverse Curriculum
The training covered everything I wanted in a program: traditional yoga foundations, proper cueing techniques, business and marketing skills for yoga teachers, different yoga styles, and meditation practices.

Inspiring Teaching Staff
We learned from renowned yoga teachers, philosophers, authors, business owners — and even a sword swallower! The teaching staff’s diverse backgrounds and impressive credentials enriched every lesson.

Over the eight months of Yoga Teacher Training at Bella Prana in Tampa, Florida, I:

Built lifelong friendships.
Developed a deeper spiritual connection to my practice.
Discovered my teaching style.
Gained clarity on how I wanted to use my training moving forward.

The community was welcoming, knowledgeable, and supportive every step of the way.

If you’re considering a 200-hour yoga teacher training program in Tampa, Bella Prana is the place to be. You won’t find a more loving, inspiring, and high-quality environment to guide you through your yoga teacher journey.
