When/how did you discover yoga?
After my first public yoga class in 2007, I realized I had been practicing yoga my whole life and just didn’t know it was yoga. As a kid, I struggled with anxiety. I would get myself so worked up and be so stressed and nervous about a test or a recital that I wasn’t even able to practice or study. I found, if I took full breaths while moving my body in creative ways, I would feel better, and then, be able to accomplish the task in front of me. I even created a practice to help me fall asleep that I later recognized as a meditation.
What do you love about teaching yoga?
It’s a true honor to be welcomed into someone’s journey with yoga, i love and honor this aspect of teaching yoga.
