What do you love about yoga?

No matter what’s going on in my life I walk out of a yoga class feeling a serene calm

inside of me. I see problems from new perspectives. I appreciate and feel closer in

my relationships with my husband and son. Since I am a Registered Nurse in the

burn unit at the hospital, it is important for me not to dwell in the past or worry

about the future. Yoga gets me laser focused in the “Right now”!

How has yoga and meditation changed your life?

I truly enjoy the hard work on the mat. I’m able to congratulate myself and smile

about what I accomplish both mentally and physically…it provides me a mechanism

to get out of my self –critical head! My practice has helped me realize that true

happiness comes from enjoying the present, without anxious dependence upon the

future.

Why do you practice at Bella Prana?

I love the teachers at Bella Prana. Their genuine hearts are absolutely in what they

are doing. I especially like the sizes of the classes. They are small, intimate and

provide individual instruction if needed. Each teacher has a unique style and they

are always consistent. Love the workshops!

What do you love about yoga?

Yoga’s meditation, deep breathing and challenging physical practice helps me to

shift gears from the markets I watch, the to-do lists I compile and remove myself

from my hectic world. My practice melts stress and boosts my energy level. I leave

the mat with an uncluttered mind, a real focus and a smile on my face. A cold beer

and hot bubble bath are the perfect compliments with my Yoga “Buzz”!

How has yoga and meditation changed your life?

Yoga allows the precious time that my body and mind need to learn about its

capabilities. The practice on the mat has positively changed my physical and mental

capacity and I believe it is continuing to prepare my mind and body for long-term

health and spiritual well being.

Why do you practice at Bella Prana?

Bella Prana has such a positive energy from the moment you walk in the front door.

No monotonous routines week after week here! The teachers are on the cutting

edge of a real spiritual and physical challenging practice. There are many classes

and different instructors to choose from everyday. I’m a musician and I love great

music…the music is always perfect at Bella Prana!
