Rachel’s Recovery

Rachel has been practicing yoga with us since 2014! We are so grateful for you! Since then she has begun to recover from battling breast cancer. Yoga has taught her the importance of her thoughts and how they influence her day to day life. Practicing event one moment of gratitude to appreciate the sky, sun, or breeze can make a world of difference on a busy day. Read below to see how yoga has changed Rachels life!

What do you love about yoga?

I love that yoga can be integrated into every aspect of my life. Mind + Body + Spirit. Yoga has taught me to calm my mind down and practice gratitude no matter what life circumstances may arise. I have also come to realize the power of my thoughts and the effect it has on my overall well-being.

 

How has yoga and meditation changed your life?

I have found yoga and meditation brings balance and peacefulness into my daily life. I am very grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow each time I step on my mat. There always seems to be the perfect intention, pose, and/or stillness that calls my name on any given day.

 

Why do you practice at Bella Prana?

Bella Prana is a happy, accepting, inclusive, high vibe environment that offers options for every yogi. And of course their instructors are the best I have found anywhere! They are kind, intuitive, patient, and well versed in each of their specialties. This studio has been an absolute gift following a two-year battle with cancer during a global pandemic. The covid-19 safety protocols in place were handled respectfully and efficiently.

 

What is your style of class to attend?

My favorite classes to attend are yin, restorative, and gentle yoga. I also enjoy full moon reiki healing. These practices have each been an integral part of my recovery from breast cancer. I am happy to share this beautiful, light energy with family, friends, and the Tampa Bay community.

 

Whats one thing right now you can be grateful for? One simple thing. Let it be small but let it be mighty, send your gratitude out to the world and send some to yourself. Notice the shift and share it with others :)
