Bella Prana Feels like Home

Courtney Dobbs bella prana yoga studio student of the month

One of the many rewards we receive at the studio is hearing how yoga and meditation has benefited our students in so many ways. Activating the parasympathetic nervous system with asana, pranayama, and meditation has helped Courtney find a resource for her mental health. We are grateful to have Courtney Dobbs as part of our Bella community and featured as our Student of the Month for February 2021.

What do you love about yoga?

I started doing yoga, specifically the Veterans’ donation class on Sunday’s at the advice from the therapist. I was seeking a way to deal with anxiety and depression. After my first class I knew I was home.

How has yoga and meditation changed your life?

Yoga has literally changed my body and my mine. With yoga and meditation in my life, I now know how I can deal with all the stress life throws my way and it has been especially helpful during this 2020 pandemic when I was furloughed from my job. I’ve always had yoga to come back to that helps me realize how lucky I am.

Why do you practice at Bella Prana?

I started, as I mentioned at the Veterans’ donation class, and I was made to feel like I was home from the moment I walked into Bella Prana. That’s never changed over the past 16 or so months I’ve been coming.

What is your style of class to attend?

I love the Flow 1 classes and I do the Yin classes to balance out the challenge. I have started doing some of the Power classes which are hard! But also, fun. I’m pushing myself to grow in my yoga practice and I can really see the difference over time as I’ve progressed!

Bella Prana offers over 90+ classes a week from Beginner to Hot Power Yoga classes. We are located at 1112 W. Platt Street, Tampa and offer a $39 New Student Special for one month of unlimited yoga.
