Feed Tampa’s Hungry

Jul 3, 2015

feedingamericaSeptember is National Yoga Awareness Month, a time to educate and promote the benefits of yoga and a healthy lifestyle, and also Hunger Awareness Month. To honor this and to give back to the Tampa community, we are offering a donation-based class on September 21. All donations raised will be given to the nonprofit organization, Feeding America Tampa Bay.

Feeding America Tampa Bay is an organization that helps Americans who are struggling with hunger. They work on a local level with a network of partners and food banks to provide access to healthy foods for those in need. Access to fruits and vegetables and training about diet-based diseases is also a part of their mission.

Yoga teacher Ashley Halley will donate her time and talents to support this cause and teach her rocking class, Yoga Bootcamp. Always fun and playful, this is not your typical yoga class. This class blends yoga and strength training to increase endurance, stability, focus, and power. You will use resistance bands, interval training, cardio bursts, and targeted yoga stretching. Open to all levels – just be prepared to sweat for a good cause!

“To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Class will take place Saturday, September 21 from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. Held at Bella Prana Yoga Studio, voted Best Yoga Studio in Best of the Bay 2013.
